Historical Encounters is a double blind peer-reviewed, diamond open access, interdisciplinary journal dedicated to the empirical and theoretical study of:

The journal is published by the HERMES History Education Research Network concentrated at The University of Newcastle, Australia.

The journal is indexed in SCOPUS, DOAJ, and Google Scholar.

Completed volumes of the journal are archived via the National Library of Australia's edeposit system (NED), and discoverable through Trove.

From 2021, all individual articles and issues are published with Digital Object Identifiers (DOI) registered with Crossref. We will slowly be assigning DOIs to individual articles from back issues throughout 2022.
